What's in a story that makes you laugh?
that makes you cry?
that wrings forth from the lips a heartfelt sigh?
Is it mood that sways with persuasion?
Like sappy songs and presentation?
Or strange words that lacked a voice
and now resonates perfect word-choice?
Maybe it is joy, camraderie
that makes us cheer
and gives us glee.
And if that's so, then what is life?
but a shared story
that gives us peace
and hope of glory?
There is something to be said for observing life as it happens and taking the time to record it. How else would we know our history?
